We held our Don Dubuc Cajun Invasion Deer hunt a few days ago. Everyone had a great time and loved the Southern Sportsman Lodge. Our hunting tally was three antlerless deer, two seven point bucks and one nine point buck. Our cameraman, Ben, was on the predators with two bobcats and one coyote. The video should air on Paradise Louisiana in the next week or so. We will have a photo album on the website soon with all our hunters and pictures from the trip. Thanks to all our hunters and the staff at Southern Sportsman Lodge, Dave, William and Jim for a great event.
Our Cajun Invaders enjoyed the trip so much that we will be going back the Southern Sportsman Lodge again next year for our Cajun Invasion. Also, our hunters demanded we go back this season, so we will be doing a three-day hunt the last weekend in January. This will be during the rut and should be outstanding. If anyone who couldn’t go on the previous hunt wants to go, let me know. We will have some spots available but they may go fast.
We also have an opening or two on our Arkansas duck hunt January 21st due to a cancellation. This will be our premier hunt for the season. We will have ducks, geese and bucks all rolled into one trip at one time. Does it get any better? Call our office or email us if you’re interested in going.
To all our clients who have allowed Trail Escapes to be of service this year, thank you for your support. It’s been a great year and next year should be even better. We will be adding new lodges, new states and types of game (get ready Elk hunters). To all of you, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. And of course, GO TIGERS!!!
