As we begin another year, I would like to recap last year a little and then give a few hints about 2014.
We ended the duck and deer seasons on a high note with several of our groups of clients experiencing great hunts in Louisiana, Arkansas and Alabama. Some of these were first time clients and we hope for a long and happy relationship with them.
We are going to a bi-monthly format on the newsletter for this year. While we want to keep our readers informed about upcoming events, with multiple projects in the works this year, we feel the new format will work better for the time being.
Ok, coming up for this year will be several new hunting locations in the Southwestern United States. We will be finalizing the agreement with the new locations within the next couple of months and will begin booking to them this spring. This will add additional White Tail, Elk and Mule Deer opportunities as well as Antelope and Mountain Lion.
We are embarking on a venture with several women’s originations to offer training programs in various hunting and fishing activities such as deer, duck and turkey hunting, bow hunting and fly fishing. We will announce the details as they become available.
I had the opportunity to make a late season bow hunt at one of our new lodges in Pike County, Illinois in early January. Naturally they experienced the winter storm of the century but we still had a great time. This will be our featured “Lodge of the Month” in this issue. To kick off the next season, we will be doing an early bird special, so if you’ve ever wanted to hunt this legendary whitetail area, we just made it more affordable. Call us for details.
Also upcoming soon are turkey season, fishing and of course we are now booking this year’s adventures for Alaska and Argentina.
On Friday, Feb.14th, our friend Jim Bob Allgood of the “Redneck Adventures TV Show” will be hosting his 14th Annual Squirrel Hunt and Banquet in Natchez Mississippi. Trail Escapes will be sponsoring a table and also is offering special discounted packages for two and for corporate sponsors. The auction will be after the banquet Friday night and will include hunting and fishing trips, firearms, gear and other prizes.
