Originating from Japan, Haiku is the shortest form of poetry in the world. In a short descriptive verse, it captures a moment in the poet’s life, or simply expresses the beauty of nature.
For the 2015 Canadian Gymnastics Week, Gymnastics BC is encouraging all members to submit a haiku on what gymnastics means to them.
To enter send your gymnastics haiku to firstname.lastname@example.org, post it on the GBC Facebook page or on Twitter with the hashtag #GymBCHaiku. Please include your age and the deadline is Monday, February 2.
All winning haiku will be collected and used during Canadian Gymnastics Week and published in Gymnastics BC's Layout magazine. Winners will also receive a gymnastics t-shirt.
