We are back heading into the last 2 weeks of the current session!

THANK YOU for letting us know about the
NEXT SESSION (Feb - June 2015). We say "Goodbye" to the families leaving us and wish your family all the best. Hopefully we will see some of you back in the Fall when your Spring conflicts are not an issue.

Program fee cheques for returning gymnasts (if you have not already handed them in are due this week - thanks to those of you who have done so!!).

Please post-date all cheques for either the 1st or the 15th of the month, or one cheque for the full session.

Any changes in address, telephone numbers, email addresses etc would be appreciated so we may update our records. An email with the changes will be appreciated. Please make sure that you go to our website to subscribe to receive our e-bulletins. If not we try and leave a copy on the website under "newsletters". If you no longer wish to be included you also need to unsubcribe and the link can be found in the footer of this email. Due to new rules regarding subscriptions you need to update yourself. OR you can like us on Facebook and receive everything you need on our society page. This might be easiest if you are a smartphone user.

In the next E-Bulletin for the new session we will include our calendar with dates for Photo Day, Spring Break, and Year End Event in June.

Also other exciting news for the club - Meet season for the Competitive and Interclub Team begins. Please make sure you check with your coach about meet schedules. Payments are now due for all meet fees, for tracksuits and bodysuits.

  • The 2015 National Gymnastics Week will be held from February 7 - 14, 2015.
I Love Gymnastics Week's goal is to celebrate the positive benefits of recreational and competitive gymnastics. The week-long event raises awareness about the health and social benefits from participating in the foundation sport of gymnastics. With an ever increasing rate of child obesity and the health risks associated with this trend, raising awareness around the benefits of gymnastics is essential.

Originating from Japan, Haiku is the shortest form of poetry in the world. In a short descriptive verse, it captures a moment in the poet’s life, or simply expresses the beauty of nature.

For the 2015 Canadian Gymnastics Week, Gymnastics BC is encouraging all members to submit a haiku on what gymnastics means to them.

To enter send your gymnastics haiku to communications@gymbc.org, post it on the GBC Facebook page or on Twitter with the hashtag #GymBCHaiku. Please include your age and the deadline is Monday, February 2.

All winning haiku will be collected and used during Canadian Gymnastics Week and published in Gymnastics BC's Layout magazine. Winners will also receive a gymnastics t-shirt.
