Princess Shayna is not the predictable fairy tale about princess who is rescued by Prince Charming’s kiss, abandoned by her parents, or poisoned by a villain. The heroine in the story is a timely and timeless princess whose loving parents teacher her to be a strong, independent and self-confident young woman, who girls and boys alike, can emulate and respect.

This musical includes an original script, songs and music that has been written by the multi-talented director, Kim Kass Woycke and the remarkable  Trilogy School of Performing Arts students.

Autographed copies of Princess Shayna's Invisible Visible Gift may be purchased at the performance. 10% of the royalties from the sale of my book is allocated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Raffle tickets for a grand prize basket will be sold at the performance to raise funds and awareness to find a cure for diabetes by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Happy Mother's Day!
Mother's Day in the U.S. began almost 150 years ago. Anna Jarvis, an Appalachian homemaker, organized a day to raise awareness of poor health conditions in her community, a cause she believed would be best advocated by mothers. She called it "Mother's Work Day."

Mother's Day can be a joyful or sad celebration depending on your relationship and circumstances. I was blessed with two remarkable mothers! My mother, Sylvia Newman, was a Yellow /Blue Brainer, and my mother-in-law, Lillian Glazov was a Green /Yellow Brainer. I loved them both more than tongue can tell, and I am grateful for their love, encouragement, and generosity. I am the woman, wife, mother, and grandmother I am today because of the invaluable life lessons my mothers taught me!

Many of us have been blessed with our mothers and/or other women who have also nurtured, blessed with our mothers and other women who have also nurtured, mentored and loved us during different stages of our lives. The following Brain Color Clues will help you recognize and understand why:

1. You are you thrilled or traumatized when someone remarks, "Oh, you are just like your mother."

2. The bond between you and your mother creates comfort or chaos in your life.

3. Being your "Mother's Mini-Me" is a blessing or a curse.

Learn how to recognize and respect your mother's personality type and you will Relate Better, Stress Less, Love More, Laugh Often!"

A Yellow Brain Mother is dependable, values respectfulness and punctuality. She likes her children to follow "her" rules. She stresses out when her life is disorganized.

A Blue Brain Mother values cooperation, but drives you crazy because she cannot stop talking about her problems and emotionally requires a lot of attention.

A Green Brain Mother is often a puzzlement. She expresses her high expectations, but never talks about or demonstrates her feelings for you.

An Orange Brain Mother is fun to be with, but not someone to count on to be available when you need reliable help or sensible advice.

Green and Yellow Brain Mothers and Children appreciate each others' unemotional attitude and objective approach to life. Blue and Orange Brain Mothers and Children understand each others' devoted attitude and energetic approach to life.

Don't forget to watch my WGN TV Mother's Day Interview to learn easy and helpful tips about mothers' and children's Brain Colors that will help you create more love and harmony in your life ever day and on Mother's Day!
