About Us | What We Do | Apply for a Grant | Get Involved | Donate
Dear Friends:
We're pleased to share with you that a few months into our first full year of operations as a new foundation, KACF-SF became fiscally independent, a key milestone in our organizational development. We applied for our own 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, which we expect to receive this summer. We're grateful to our KACF colleagues in New York for their invaluable guidance and support as our fiscal sponsor.

In the meantime, KACF-SF continues to operate as a non-profit organization and our 501(c)(3) status will be retroactive to 2014, which means all donations to KACF-SF will continue to be tax deductible.

Meanwhile, our inaugural group of grantee partners (see list on the right) have been making progress on programs and projects being funded through KACF-SF grants. Click HERE to read about the work of these organizations.
This year, we are launching our grantmaking cycle earlier and will kick things off with information sessions in June for community service organizations in the Bay Area interested in learning about our grants program. We also will be inviting members of the community to join in our participatory grantmaking process through the Community Grants Committee (CGC), so stay tuned!

In order for us to support an even greater number of worthy programs and organizations in 2015, we are working hard to raise funds. If you would like to join us in helping to strengthen the Korean American community, please consider making a donation to KACF-SF. Your contribution will help us achieve our mission of empowering the most vulnerable in our community and fostering philanthropic giving among Korean Americans.

Thank you,
The KACF-SF Team
