Assistant Director Changes
KSM wants to express our thanks to Ms. Lisa Garcia, our past Assistant Director, for her 18 months of service. Lisa is moving on, but still wants to follow and support KSM. Lisa was a great help to the Board at KSM and we will miss her. Thanks Lisa and best of luck in the future!
From Our New AD Elaine Stark
I am delighted to join KSM as the new Assistant Director. After serving for 10 busy and productive years as Executive Director of Boston Institute for Psychotherapy, I stepped down from the 60 + hours per week to seek more of a balance in my life and more time with my family. I hoped to find a new professional home with a mission that I felt passionate about and a schedule that would dovetail with my current consulting work. I was very excited to learn about KSM and the opportunity to join the team. After researching the organization and then meeting Board Chairperson, Amy Wilson and Director and Co-Founder, Ken Lambert, I knew I had found an organization I wanted to be a part of and contribute to. My background includes clinical, administrative, management,
fundraising and financial work. I earned my BA from Assumption College and my Master’s from Harvard University. I look forward to getting to know all of you and to furthering the important work of this wonderful organization. Please feel free to reach out to me at elaine@keepsoundminds.org.

Thanks to our wonderful and generous supporters, and our corporate sponsor, Exterior Designs, we had a blast at the April 10, 2015 fundraising concert. KSM packed the house at Portsmouth Gas Light Company to see opener Charlie Farren and feature artist, Introduction, the Chicago Experience. We raised over $3,000, raised awareness for our cause and had a really fun evening.
Joint Venture Documentary
Work has begun on our upcoming documentray regarding suicide prevention. We are excited to be collaborating with The Samaritans of Greater Boston and hope to have this educational and compelling film complete by mid to later summer. This project is likely to be the most significant endeavor for KSM over the past 4-5 years. Our very capable video producer is Randy Barth from Honce Oui Media Group. We are delighted to announce Mrs. Kathleen Shaps of Hampton, NH as the KSM 2015 Rivier University scholarship recipient. Mrs. Shaps, who is studying to become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, has been awared $1,000 from KSM. We know she will soon make a difference in the community providing great mental health care.

Upcoming Youth At Risk Conference
Ken Lambert and Danielle Csogi will be speaking at this very popular conference which is a program of the Essex County Community Foundation. It is an annual all-day conference for youth service providers, with keynote speakers and over 20 workshops, program exhibitions and networking opportunities. Its purpose is to promote collaboration and coordination among providers and to increase awareness of resources. KSM will also have an exhibition booth. Visit eccf.org/yar for more details.
