CoSort Speeds QlikView 12X
IRI CoSort has always been the fastest data preparation engine for analytic tools. It franchises (filters, sorts, joins, and aggregates) big data faster than any BI, DB, or ETL platform; and it’s why our blog and web sites highlight these comparisons.
QlikView is no exception to the rule. This quarter, we saw CoSort process and feed data into a QlikView display 12X faster than QlikView could at the 20M-row level. At 150M rows, QlikView simply failed. Click here to learn the test details and how to QlikView faster with CoSort.

Are You Ready for CoSort 10?
The successful eight-year release era between Version 9.1.1 through 9.5.3 is waning as IRI nears completion of a landmark new CoSort engine and enhanced Eclipse data management platform around it. CoSort v10 will offer more speed and dynamic tuning, support for UTF-8 data, composite data structures and format masks, real-time change data capture, and expanded condition syntax in SortCL.
CoSort v10 will also be a foundational engine within a larger data discovery, integration, and analytic package called Voracity™
that will support Hadoop engines, new data sources, and analytics. Contact your IRI representative to beta test CoSort v10 and/or IRI’s new ETL interfaces, or to learn about our roadmap for big data profiling, packaging, protection, and presentation. IRI’s newest representative in the dynamic region of Southeast Asia is in Singapore. SQLNet focuses on data protection, preventing data breaches, providing better data governance, and reducing the cost of privacy law compliance. They also provide database security, administration, and application implementations. In other words, SQLNet is perfectly positioned to sell, support, and optimize IRI’s database loading, unloading, masking, testing, and migration solutions.
Mask Data Ahead of Splunk and MongoDB for Security
Newer analytic and NoSQL platforms have few, if any, built-in ways to mask sensitive data. Splunk’s
protections have holes noted here that warrant safeguarding data before indexing. MongoDB cannot bulk-protect data in collections. See this IRI FieldShield how-to if you want to mask data in MongoDB.
