2016 Nashville City Championship:
Some of Nashville's best chess players gathered at the Nashville Chess Center this past
weekend, January 8th-10th to compete for the title of 2016 City Champion. The tournament has sections for Open, High School, Junior High, Elementary, and Primary covering all ages and skill levels. The Qualifying events take place from September to December each year leading up to the event, and only the top 6 players make it in to each section. Congratulations to all the qualifiers that made it that far! Here are the 2016 City Champions: FM Todd Andrews, Nashville City Champion, Alexander Qin, High School City Champion, Joshua Campbell, Junior High City Champion, Hemi Rambha and Arya Jalem, Elementary City Co-Champions, and Buren Bradley and Ronit Chandra, Primary City Co-Champions.
