ModeKnit Yarn at the Yarnover Market
|
Each year the Minnesota Knitters’ Guild holds a day-long event called Yarnover in Hopkins, Minnesota. This year ModeKnit Yarn was a first-time vendor in the Market.
We met new friends, reconnected with old friends, and had an excellent show.
Our Slippy Cowl Kits were a hit, and so was our ModeSock yarn. We introduced our Flow yarn, and the ModeKnitters loved the concept.
Flow is something new for us; long gradual color changes. We will slowly introduce Flow throughout 2014.
Look for Flow at The Midwest Fiber & Folk Art Fair August 1,2 and 3 2014 and at The North Country Fiber Fair September 19, 20 and 21 2014.

ModeKnit Yarn at Shepherd's Harvest
|
Another exciting local event is Shepherd's Harvest Sheep and Wool Festival, held every May at the Washington County fairgrounds in Lake Elmo, MN. This year ModeKnit Yarn vended there for the first time. Kathleen manned the booth with the help of family and friends while Annie taught at Interwave Knit Lab in New Hampshire.
Shepherd's Harvest is the place where Annie and Kathleen met. Kathleen and her friend Karen took a Combination Knitting class from Annie. More classes followed, and friendship, and now the
business partnership that is ModeKnit Yarn. |
