Gray Area

Our latest design project in the Grayhawk Area was to assist our client in recreating her entry and living room spaces. Desiring a new look that was a bit sleeker than her existing traditional style, it was time to do the "out with the old and in with the new". We started with a gray scheme for the foundation of the palette. A rich graphite colored sofa from Z Gallerie, pewter colored leather occasional chairs from West Elm, custom drapery panels, and a geometric rug from Ethan Allen provided the neutral backdrop for the canvas. Since our client is a lively and colorful person, incorporating that into the overall design was crucial. We decided to draw from the commanding large scale artwork duo above the sofa for our accent colors. Lime green and vivid turquoise puncuate the space through our paint, accessories, and side piece selections. Small pops of fuschia in the custom pillows add the perfect amount of warmth while the crisp white ceramic table lamps create a clean and crisp dimension. The ebony and gilt starburst mirror in the niche above the fireplace also purchased from Z Gallerie, has a golden touch that seems to take the whole space out of the gray, and into clear new heights.

*Paint colors in order of appearance are Dunn Edwards - Wasabi, Aqua Bloom, and Dragon Bay
