October 1 is tomorrow and with it comes grouse and woodcock shooting in Maine. We have seen several late cancellations and have guides available with dogs to take you into the uplands to experience some of the best woodcock and grouse shooting in the east. We also have three weeks of fall salmon fishing to offer. Big, lake fed landlocked salmon are coming into Grand Lake Stream everyday as they prepare to spawn. New this year we are offering a remote hunting experience in the north woods of Maine. Beginning October 27 we will be hosting grouse hunters in the big woods surrounding the Allagash Wilderness Waterway. The grouse are plentiful (and so are the moose). The cabins are rustic with no running water or electricity. They are lighted with propane lamps and heated with wood. We are looking for a group to hunt October 27-31 of up to four people, all meals and guided hunts each day. Four nights, three days guided for $1250 per gun.
